Hey California, cut down those damn forests and replace them with nuclear power plants.

France has 56 nuclear power plants and is planning on building 14 more. A reversal from four years ago when they were going to shut down 12. Nuclear provides 70% of their power. So why can’t California do the same?
In a poll conducted by the institute last month, 44 percent of Californians surveyed said they supported building more nuclear plants in the state, compared with 37 percent who were against. Thirty-nine percent opposed closing Diablo Canyon, while 33 percent were for the move. The Diablo Canyon Power Plant, the state’s single largest source of electricity.
